It all began with a bookcase for my son. I worked late nights, so to unwind I would come home and using only hand tools I would work into the night decompressing and building something useful, bespoke and one of a kind. It’s built so well he’ll be able to hand it down for generations to come. Some of the tools used are a Disston D8 for resawing, a Stanley 45 for the shiplap, beading, dadoes, rebates and rabbets. Stanley 4, 5 and 7’s for finishing boards and Tremont nails for nailing the carcass together.
